Directions:

1. Do not use if the heat stake is already broken.
2. To open, align the heat stake away from your face (eyes), body, and the patient. Break the tamper-evident stake by twisting the cap or snapping downward.
3. To attach the needle, push it straight onto a regular luer (luer slip) or twist onto a luer-lock syringe and pull the cartridge off.
4. When necessary to remove needle, needle cartridge may serve as a wrench. The needle need never be touched.

Handle needles with care to avoid injury. Bent, damaged, or improperly recapped needles may cause breakage, tissue damage, or transmission of infectious diseases. Recap only when allowed by OSHA, CDC, or local regulations. Dispose of used needles in a puncture-resistant sharps container. For veterinary use only, NOT for human use. Keep out of reach of children.
